Reports To: President OR Director of Sales

Salary: $50K + commission on net new sales owned by AE (OTE: $75K - $100k+)

You are an experienced salesperson who is not afraid of pounding the pavement looking for new opportunities for Firefly. You are wildly passionate about social justice and helping social impact organizations push their missions forward by improving their digital marketing and outreach. You are excited to talk to new folks, tell them about Firefly’s services, and craft the right approaches to sell into different audiences. You will work with Firefly leadership to set sales goals, establish plans to meet those goals, and successfully execute on those plans.

This position is responsible for success in the following areas:

Essential Functions

  1. Evaluate leads generated through Firefly marketing efforts/channels – including but not limited to email campaigns, conferences, webinars, and partner relationships – to ensure that Firefly can solve the problem(s) that the prospect or clients has brought to the company.  
  2. Cold outreach to strategic lists, LinkedIn Prospecting, and sharing the value that Firefly can bring to each prospective client
  3. Create proposals and contracts as needed throughout the sales cycle.
  4. Collaborate with Firefly leadership to set sales goals, develop plans for reaching those goals, and executing on sales plans throughout the year.
  5. Closely follow established sales processes with an eye to efficiency and accuracy.
  6. Regularly report on the status of sales opportunities, procuring and assessing data from a variety of sources and making recommendations based on that data. 
  7. Appropriately prepare for and represent Firefly at client meetings, sales pitches, and business development events and conferences.
  8. Actively participate in full team meetings and cross-team new business meetings on a regular basis to ensure consistent flow of information throughout the team.
  9. Work in collaboration with team members to understand Firefly’s services and ensure services are sold with an appropriate degree of accuracy and a focus on the value our services bring to our clients.

          Supervisory Responsibility
          This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

          Work Environment
          This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones in your remote location.

          Physical Demands
          While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.  

          Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
          Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the “core” work hours of 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and must work 40 hours each week to maintain full-time status. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

          This position requires occasional travel, both local and throughout the United States. 

          Required Education and Experience

          1. A bachelor's degree in sales, marketing, business, or equivalent experience.
          2. Two to five years in a new business, sales, or sales support role. Previous experience selling digital services in an agency setting strongly preferred.
          3. Two to five years’ experience working with or for nonprofit or social impact organizations.
          4. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
          5. Familiarity with Hubspot, Office365, and Accelo preferred.

            Type:  Exempt salaried position, plus commission.
